Policies

AKA...the fine print
Home → About EX2 → Policies

Racing is super fun…but we know sometimes life gets in the way.  Occasionally, you can’t attend a race that you signed up for because you get injured, your childcare plans fall through, or you just change your mind.  Occasionally, we may need to cancel an event because of weather, COVID, etc.  We believe our policies covering these situations are extremely fair and flexible.  Please note that these policies are effective on January 1, 2021.

If EX2 Cancels a Race…

EX2 Adventures reserves the right to alter, postpone, or cancel any event for safety concerns, both natural and man-made. Whenever possible, cancelled events will be rescheduled to a later date.

If WE (EX2) ever cancel a race or are required to cancel a race for ANY reason at ANY time, then you will have these options:

1. Attend the make-up date if one is offered;
2. Defer (i.e., receive a 100% credit); or
3. Receive a full refund (minus the processing fee that was charged when you registered).

If You Can’t Attend a Race…

If YOU (participant) cannot attend an event for any reason and it’s 14 or more days out from the event, then you will have these options:

1. Defer (i.e., receive a 100% credit);
2. Transfer your entry to someone else; or
3. Receive a full refund (minus the processing fee that was charged when you registered).

If YOU (participant) cannot attend an event for any reason and it’s between 13 and 3 days out from the event, then you will have these options for a fee. The fee is $20 for a running, cycling, or XTERRA EX2 event, and $50 for an adventure race.

1. Defer (i.e., receive a 100% credit) for a fee;
2. Transfer your entry to someone else for a fee; or
3. Receive a full refund for a fee (minus the processing fee that was charged when you registered).

Some Important Notes…

Within 3 days from an event, there are no deferrals, transfers, or refunds if YOU cannot attend an event for ANY reason.

Adventure races, cycling events, and XTERRA EX2 can be deferred to the same event the following year.  Running races can be deferred to any other running race (where registration is open in RunSignUp).  Any price difference is paid when you register for the new race.
