Waiver / Minimum Age: Trail Running is physically demanding and involves risks inherent to the sport, including risk of serious injury or death. Participants are responsible for assuring that they are physically fit. All participants are required to complete and sign a waiver and release form and submit this form at check-in. Participants under 18 years of age must have their parents/guardians sign this form. Participants must be at least 12 years old to participate in The EX2 Off-Road Half Marathon and 10K.

Refund policy: For pre-registered racers: 50% of your entry fee will be refunded to requests sent at least two weeks before the original race date (no refunds for rain dates). NO REFUNDS AFTER THIS DATE. Email all requests to the following address: info@ex2adventures.com. Please allow 2-4 weeks to process requests.

Transfer Policy: Entry fees may not be transferred to another racer or to another race, except for sold out races ONLY (see Transfer Policy for Sold Out Races below).

Transfer Policy for Sold Out Races: FOR SOLD OUT RACES ONLY, your entry may be transferred to another individual if we receive written notice at least 5 days before race day (by 5/14/12). A $15 administrative transfer fee must be paid by the new racer at check-in on race day. Requests MUST be sent from the racer originally registered in the event. Email the request to the following address: info@ex2adventures.com. This email request MUST include the following information for the new racer: name, mailing address, email address, phone, date of birth, gender, and t-shirt size. To guarantee the t-shirt size for the new racer, we must receive the transfer request at least 10 days prior to the event. Transfers will not be processed if received after 5/14/12. NO TRANSFERS ON RACE DAY.

Race Change Policy: Individuals may change races (within that event...ex. Half Marathon to 10K). Requests must be emailed at least 5 days before race day (by 5/14/12) . Email requests to the following address: info@ex2adventures.com. Racers dropping from the Half Marathon to the 10K will not receive refunds. Racers upgrading from the 10K to the Half Marathon must pay the difference as of the date of notice. This payment must be sent via US mail along with a copy of your email request to EX2 Adventures, 4450 Rivanna Ln MB#3719, Fairfax, VA 22030. Payment must be received before race day.

Cancellation Policy: EX2 Adventures reserves the right to alter, postpone, or cancel any race for safety concerns, both natural and man made. Natural concerns may include severe weather (heavy rain, snow, tornados, hurricanes, flooding, severe heat/cold). Man made concerns may include increased security alerts or acts of terrorism. When possible, rain dates will be scheduled as a service to racers. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be provided for cancelled races or to those that cannot attend a rescheduled race.

Cancellation/postponement decisions will be made by 6am on race day. This decision will be posted on www.ex2adventures.com and/or a message will be left at the following phone number: (571) 251-6034.
