* Optional Shuttle Service ($10/race): Since this is a linear race and the start and finish are not at the same location, we will have an optional shuttle available for racers. You are welcome to forgo this service and work out your own transportation with friends/family/fellow racers. The shuttle will take two trips, departing the race finish location at 8am and 11:45am. We will fill up the 8am shuttle first and then start taking reservations for the 11:45am shuttle. Those taking the 8am shuttle must arrive at the pick up point (Fountainhead for the 5/18 race and Hemlock for the 6/1 race) by 7:45am to park, grab your gear, and get on the shuttle for the 8am SHARP departure. Those taking the 11:45am shuttle will drive/park at the start location, race, then take the shuttle back to their vehicles after the race. A final start list with your shuttle time will be posted on the EX2 website on the Friday before each race. Racers registering on race day must take the 11:45am shuttle (space permitting). The shuttle can carry up to 42 passengers and the shuttle will take approximately 25 minutes. Check-in for each race will take place at the race start location. EX2 will also have a system in place to transport your labeled bag from the start (check-in) to the finish.

Race #1 on May 18, 2008 - 8am shuttle: park vehicle at Fountainhead Regional Park before race then take shuttle to race start (check-in) at Hemlock Overlook. 11:30am shuttle: park vehicle at race start (check-in) at Hemlock Overlook, race to Fountainhead, then take shuttle back to vehicle at Hemlock Overlook after the race.

Race #2 on June 1, 2008 - 8am shuttle: park vehicle at Hemlock Overlook before race then take shuttle to race start (check-in) at Fountainhead Regional Park. 11:30am shuttle: park vehicle at race start (check-in) at Fountainhead Regional Park, race to Hemlock Overlook, then take shuttle back to vehicle at Fountainhead Regional Park after the race.

Entry Fee Includes:

Fun and challenging course design, limited race entry, professional race operations, all maps, all paddling equipment (boats, PFDs, and paddles), wonderful volunteer support, medical support, accurate results, timely posting of results on the EX2 website, plentiful post-race food, electric atmosphere, great music, awards, and colorful t-shirts (see below).

T-Shirts:

All racers that register at least 10 days before the event are guaranteed a t-shirt in their specified size. In an attempt to predict racer participation, we will order some additional t-shirts. However, those registering within 10 days of the event will receive t-shirts while supplies last. If we run out of t-shirts, you can choose one from our vintage stock.
