From I-66 or I-495:

  • Take I-66 to Route 7100 (Fairfax County Parkway). * Exit at 55A SOUTH toward Springfield.
  • Travel south on Rt. 7100 for approx. 6 miles.
  • Exit at Route 123 SOUTH (Ox Road).
  • Travel 1.6 miles to the Clifton Road traffic light.
  • Turn RIGHT onto Clifton Road (Route 645).
  • Travel approx. 4 miles on Clifton Rd. Continue straight on Clifton Rd. after traveling through the four-way stop at the gas station.
  • Pass Yates Ford Road on the RIGHT then pass Henderson Road on the LEFT.
  • Turn LEFT at Yates Ford Road (Route 615). Continue straight on Yates Ford Road after traveling through the four-way stop.
  • Drive 1.5 miles to the entrance of Hemlock Overlook (please drive 25MPH). Yates Ford Road dead ends here.


From I-95

  • Take I-95 to the exit for Route 123 (Ox Road) NORTH toward Fairfax.
  • Travel NORTH on Route 123 (Ox Road) for approximately 8 miles.
  • Turn LEFT onto Clifton Road (Route 645) immediately past the entrance to Burke Lake Park.
  • Travel approx. 4 miles on Clifton Rd. Continue straight on Clifton Rd. after traveling through the four-way stop sign at the gas station.
  • Pass Yates Ford Road on the RIGHT then pass Henderson Road on the LEFT.
  • Turn LEFT at Yates Ford Road (Route 615). Continue straight on Yates Ford Road after traveling through the four-way stop sign.
  • Drive 1.5 miles to the entrance of Hemlock Overlook (please drive 25MPH). Yates Ford Road dead ends here.

Fountainhead Regional Park

From: I66
To: Fountainhead Regional Park

  • Take Fairfax County Parkway South (exit 55) for approx. 11 miles
  • Exit onto Rt. 123 South (Ox Rd.) for approx. 2.5 miles
  • Right onto Henderson Rd.
  • Left on Hampton Rd.
  • Right into park
  • Continue to upper parking lot on Right
  • Follow signs to check-in

From: I95
To: Fountainhead Regional Park

  • Rt. 123 North for approx. 6 miles
  • Left on Hampton Rd. for approx. 4 miles
  • Left into park
  • Continue to upper parking lot on Right
  • Follow signs to check-in

Traveling Between Parks

From: Fountainhead Regional Park
To: Hemlock Overlook

  • Exit Fountainhead and take a left onto Hampton Rd.
  • Left onto Henderson Rd.
  • At three-way stop sign, take a right onto Wolf Run Shoals Rd.
  • At four-way stop sign, take a left onto Clifton Rd.
  • Pass Yates Ford Road on the RIGHT then pass Henderson Road on the LEFT.
  • Turn LEFT at Yates Ford Road (Route 615). Continue straight on Yates Ford Rd after traveling through the four-way stop sign.
  • Drive 1.5 miles to the entrance of Hemlock Overlook (please drive 25MPH). Yates Ford Road dead ends here.

From: Hemlock Overlook
To: Fountainhead Regional Park

  • Exit Hemlock and take a left onto Yates Ford Rd. Continue straight onto Yates Ford Rd after traveling through a four-way stop sign.
  • Right onto Clifton Rd.
  • At four-way stop sign (near gas station), take a right onto Wolf Run Shoals Rd.
  • At three-way stop sign, take a left onto Henderson Rd.
  • Right onto Hampton Rd. and travel a couple of miles.
  • Right into park.
  • Continue to upper parking lot on right.
  • Follow signs to check-in.
