Rosaryville Races are a 'GO' this weekend - on-site registration WILL be available both days!

I met at Rosaryville this afternoon with Tom Welsh, the MORE trail liaison. We were both pleasantly surprised with the condition of the trails. With only minor intermittent slick spots, they are in good shape now and we both think they will be in great shape this weekend. I also consulted with park management this afternoon and they are on board with the decision to continue with both of our races this weekend, the 6 Hr Cranky Monkey race on Sat and the Rosaryville Half Marathon/10K on Sun.

So, get your game face on and see you at Rosaryville this weekend.

Jim Harman (Race Director - EX2 Adventures)

Also, registration for both races will be availble on-site this weekend.

Oh, one other thing….we still need volunteers for both Sat and Sun. If your friends of family can help out then please have them sign up online tonight if possible. We will send the volunteer plan late tonight or first thing in the morning. Here is the link to sign up:

Volunteer details - volunteers help with check-in, timing, aid stations, course marshalling, course sweep, and food distribution. Times vary from 6am-5pm on Sat and 6am-12pm on Sun. Shifts are usually 3-5 hours. If you are only available at certain times then just let us know when you sign up and we will accommodate. If you are available for the entire day then let us know that as well. All volunteers receive free food (pizza, breakfast burritos, and other tasty treats), a cool race t-shirt, a coupon for $15 off any future EX2 race, and our sincere thanks. Plus, we guarantee that you will have an excellent time!

Rosaryville State Park - Upper Marlboro, MD

6 Hours of twisty, fast, and fun single-track!

Inspired by the huge success of our 9 and 12 hour races, the second annual 6 Hours of Cranky Monkey kicks-off our mountain biking season. Solo racers and teams of 2 or 3 will tackle as many 11-mile laps as they can in a 6 hour period, from 10am-4pm. In addition, we will once again bring back the 3 hour solo option. This is perfect for those not able to commit the time or training to compete in the full race.
See Who's RacingConveniently located right off the Capital Beltway, Rosaryville State Park is one of the DC area’s most popular mountain bike destinations and offers fun and challenging terrain, that is also beginner friendly. The mix of moderate terrain, relatively short race length for an endurance MTB event, huge grassy areas for staging, and early time of year makes this event ‘THE’ season opener for many mountain bike racers in the region.

Self-selected classes include:

3 Hr - Solo Classes: Female, Beginner Male, Male Open, Clydesdale (200+ lbs)
6 Hr - Solo Classes: Solo Female, Solo Male, Solo Male Masters 35+, Solo Male Masters 45+, and Solo Single-speed
6 Hr - 2/Team Classes:
Duo Co-Ed, Duo Female, Duo Male, and Duo Male Masters 80+ (combined team age).
6 Hr - 3/Team Classes:
