Perfect Spring Weather at the Lake Fairfax Backyard Burn!

Beautifully sunny skies and perfect temperatures in the mid-60s greeted athletes yesterday for the running of the fifth and final race of the 2015 Spring Backyard Burn Trail Running Series at Lake Fairfax Park in Reston, VA.  Close to 250 racers tested themselves on a fast and fun course that included forested single-track, lakeside trails, and open fields.  It was a great day out on the trails and thanks to all the racers, volunteers, sponsors, and the park authority for helping to make the final race of the series a smashing success!

Results are now posted. Photos are coming soon.

Our next trail running race is the third annual Fountainhead Off-Road Half Marathon and 10K held on May 16th.  This fun and challenging course is a trail runners' dream and its location along the banks of the Occoquan Reservoir has some of the most beautiful and remote-feeling terrain in Fairfax County, VA, only 30 minutes outside of Washington D.C.  This race has sold out for the last two years and we are on track for another full race in 2015.  So, register today to join in the fun!
